Jared Young BIO

Born in Wurzburg, Germany to US Army Father, Nolan Brian Young, and Native Samoan Mother, Apaula Sulimoni Molifua Young, Jared's love for the arts began as a young child singing and dancing along with his 7 older siblings. His musical career began at age 16 when he toured Europe as lead singer for teen pop sensation T-MINUS FRIDAY, a collaboration with Seatrek 2001.

Since then he’s been an unstoppable force of song and performance all over the world on stage and screen. His most accomplished professional work thus far has been starring as Favorite Son in the first international tour of Green Day’s American Idiot, with rave reviews across the US, UK, Ireland, Wales, Japan and South Korea.

Jared was honored to star alongside six time Tony Award winner Audra Mcdonald (Jimmy in Hale Center Theatre’s 110 in the Shade), and also alongside Tony award winner and Disney legend, Lillias White (Master Stewart in NYMF’s Harriett).

Jared is most recognized as a Youtube Sensation, in his heart warming surprise duet with Broadway/Disney legend Lea Salonga of “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin.

He is currently making his off-broadway debut starring as Francesco in Axis Theatre’s newest musical, Solitary Light.

Jared is also an accomplished songwriter and Creator/Lead singer of the Rock band L.O.U.D.
