Swift Creek Mill Theatre presents I LOVE A PIANO, The Music and Lyrics of Rivin Berlin. The show opened on November 15 and continues through December 29, 2012. Get a first look at the production in the photos below! 

This wonderful show celebrates the music and lyrics of one of America’s greatest and most prolific writers. It follows the journey of a piano as it moves in and out of American lives from the turn of the century to the present. Along the way, the story comes to vibrant life with over 60 of Irving Berlin’s most beloved songs, including classics such as “Blue Skies”, “There’s No Business Like Show Business”, “Puttin’ On The Ritz”, “Cheek to Cheek”, “Always”, “How Deep Is The Ocean”, “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better”, “God Bless America”, and, of course, “I Love A Piano”. Alternately heartbreaking and hilarious, rousing and reflective, this show is a fitting tribute to the man Jerome Kern famously said had "no place in American music – he is American music."

The cast features Georgia Rogers Farmer as Ginger, Matt Shofner as Jim, Durron Marquis Tyre as Alex, Robbie Fuhrman as George, Cat Wheelan as Eileen and Grey Garrett as Sadie. The creative team includes director Tom Width, also scenic designer, choreographer Dennis Clark, musical director Paul Diess, lighting designer Ginnie Willard and costume designer Maura Lynch Cravey.
