I Love a Piano in Broadway I LOVE A PIANO
Swift Creek Mill Theater
11/15-12/29/2012
This wonderful show celebrates the music and lyrics of one of America's greatest and most prolific writers. It follows the journey of a piano as it moves in and out of American lives from the turn of the century to the present. Along the way, the story comes to vibrant life with over 60 of Irving Berlin's most beloved songs, including classics such as "Blue Skies", "There's No Business Like Show Business", "Puttin' On The Ritz", "Cheek to Cheek", "Always", "How Deep Is The Ocean", "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better", "God Bless America", and, of course, "I Love A Piano". Alternately heartbreaking and hilarious, rousing and reflective, this show is a fitting tribute to the man Jerome Kern famously said had "no place in American music – he is American music." Theatre Only: $35.00 (plus service charge) Buffet & Theatre: $50.00 (plus service charge) Senior, Military, Student & Group Rates available

The Sound of Music in Broadway THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Riverside Center Dinner Theater
10/19-1/6/2013
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time.Music by Rodgers, Richard; Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II; Book by Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse; Suggested by For more information on Riverside Center Dinner Theater, click hereFor more information on The Sound of Music, click here
