Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South is based on the award-winning and critically acclaimed book by E. Patrick Johnson who stars in this one-man performance exploring the southern black gay community - a population rarely acknowledged in writings about the South. Directed by Rajendra Maharaj, Sweet Tea collects life stories from black gay men of all ages who were born, raised, and continue to live in the southern United States.

The Hollow is a distinctive reinterpretation of Washington Irving's classic tale Sleepy Hollow as created by Hunter Foster and Matt Conner. Directed by Signature's Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner, the musical about the mysterious headless horseman stars Sam Ludwig as the infamous Ichabod Crane and Whitney Bashor as Katrina Van Tassel.

The Boy Detective Fails is based on the popular Joe Meno novel of the same name. In the twilight of a childhood full of wonder, Billy Argo, "boy detective," is brokenhearted to discover his young sister and crime-solving partner, Caroline, has committed suicide. Ten years later, Billy, age thirty, returns from an extended stay at St. Vitus' Hospital for the Mentally Ill to discover a world full of unimaginable strangeness. The score is by award-winning composer Adam Gwon and is directed by Signature Artistic Associate Joe Calarco.
From the director of Signature's Giant (Jonathan Butterell), comes the Washington premiere of A Second Chance, an intimate new musical about unexpectedly finding love when you least expect it. Two savvy New Yorkers meet at a dinner party - he is mourning the loss of his wife and she is newly divorced. Neither wants nor feels that they deserve to find love - and yet they are irresistibly drawn to the other. Book, music, and lyrics are written by Ted Shen.
