Get ready for a Horror-bly good time Richmond, Firehouse Theatre Project's summer spectacle The Rocky Horror Show runs July 19 - August 19, 2012. That "sweet transvestite and his motley crew are coming to Richmond this summer! Break out the corsets and stilettos and let's do the "Time Warp" again. Dr. Frank N. Furter is having a party and poor Brad and Janet need to use his phone. They are treated to an evening of singing, dancing and outright craziness. Come see why this show is still drawing fervent fans nearly 40 years later."

Director Jase Smith (RENT, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant, Reefer Madness!) returns to the Firehouse for his fifth year with yet another musical extravaganza. But Smith cautions, "This is not your mother's Rocky Horror. The songs and story are there, but we are really pushing the limits of what this show is about. I want to bring a fresh modern take on something very well known."

The Rocky Horror Show, book, music and lyrics by Richard O'Brien, is a highly stylized and satirical political commentary. It contains adult humor, drug use, as well as suggested violence and sexual explicitness. It therefore may be inappropriate for younger audiences. While we encourage our audience to participate by dressing up and singing along, for the safety of our actors and patrons we ask that you do not throw any items on stage or in the theatre.
